The Difference Between Advert-Poster

For obvious reasons, the main benefit of advertising using posters is their instant visibility. Nothing can survive by being invisible to its target audience. The more that a poster is seen, the more my advertisement becomes indelibly etched in the memories of my potential targeted audience. Posters can be spotted from a distance, which is especially important in areas where I want maximum exposure for my advertisement but face the risk of my advertising being overlooked.

The simple reason for a poster and not a advert is so that the target audience can differentiate between both still and moving advertisement. Poster message is meant to be clear and simple, posters are meant to use both art design and media in both sections of Creative industry there for I should try to hit both sections of the Creative industry.

Development of My Ideas

I went through the process of researching and idea generating for both still and moving advertisement before I came to my final design as shown I'm my other blogs. The process has been effective as I have learnt many new skills using the Photoshop software of transposition of images to the final poster. The final poster compares to the ideas in a positive way some ideas where kept that were relevant and that could work other ideas that didn't work or couldn't be accomplished where taken away from the final idea of the video and poster advertisement.

I thought this poster hit the target audience while also being interesting for the targeted audience...also learning the many key points that help with advertisement if i was to do it again in the future with more time and innovation I would change the design look more at what i didn't do see if any ideas could be completed with more time to make a more interesting advertisement for the poster. It has made me realise how much easier advertising can be with the more background information and research you do about your targeted audience in the way of primary and secondary research... Questionnaires to physical trial and improvements.

Improvements

Never waste any free vacation. Relevant or not. Don't wast free time. Go out and learn anything that could benefit the project both in and outside college. This process is what I'd improve if was to do it again/amelioration.

Poster 1

Evaluation Poster 1 + Analysis

My Attempt using simple background shaders and templates of different layers. Including the layer of the games name Grim Shadows. Something like this is an example of on what my poster would look like in a complex form. However it is very busy and can be hard on the eyes.  The Benefit of having a poster like this allows some experimentation creating very interesting outcomes. This poster allows me to experiment in a similar art style however also trying a more watered down (Simple) form.

My Attempts

Skills:- Graphics Tablet + 3D Modelling

Poster 2

Poster 2 variation of without company logo and yellow writing. This is a poster that sticks to a very basic template allowing changes in text fonts and colours to see a different variation and outlook on how it looks.

Poster 2 Final Desgin

This is my final design for my second poster. The Red font shows more of a sinister outlook of the game. I also added in addition to the red font my company logo at the top of the poster. However the main key problem with Poster 2 is that this is that basic that it leaves a overall outlook uninteresting poster that is easily overlooked.

Added age regulations

Developed final poster using a build off of my previous designs using my art skills to build upon the serial cel shaded art style that I was using from both Poster 1 and Poster 2. My posters show development of my Art through to my Final Poster and how a simple mix of both simple and complex can be effective. While also showing my own unique take on how my poster would look in my Advertisement Campaign.
