Final Poster FMP

Image
FMP Final Poster The Difference Between Advert-Poster For obvious reasons, the main benefit of advertising using posters is their instant visibility. Nothing can survive by being invisible to its target audience. The more that a poster is seen, the more my advertisement becomes indelibly etched in the memories of my potential targeted audience. Posters can be spotted from a distance, which is especially important in areas where I want maximum exposure for my advertisement but face the risk of my advertising being overlooked.    The simple reason for a poster and not a advert is so that the target audience can differentiate between both still and moving advertisement. Poster message is meant to be clear and simple, posters are meant to use both art design and media in both sections of Creative industry there for I should try to hit both sections of the Creative industry.  Development o...

FMP Makeup Advertisement Trailer (Practice\Experimentation/Final Product)

Image
Makeup Art FMP Advertisement Trailer The use of makeup is divided into three categories: Basic - designed to compensate for undesirable changes in appearance introduced by the television process. Corrective - designed to enhance positive attributes and downplay flaws. Character - which introduces major changes in appearance. Although people might think that makeup is reserved for people "who just want to look better" on TV or in film, in actual fact, makeup may be required to just retain a subject's normal appearance. Finalised Makeup FMP Advertisement Trialer (Kieran)  The makeup that consisted for Kieran's role in the advertisement trailer consisted of a fine foundation layer of white washable paint left to dry then upon a repeat process of multiple layers being applied the end result was adding eye liner for the black outline of the Skeleton.  Finalised Makeup FMP Advertisement Trailer (Shona) The makeup...

FMP planning (Storyboard) for Advertisement trailer

Media: Planning a Design for "My Games Advertisement Campaign (Trailer) " Planning for my FMP Game Trailer Grim Shadows Real life Advertisement trailer (Storyboard)  With the start of my project  to plan and create a guide for the basis for my Trailer (Games Advertisement campaign). I've thought about what I want it to be based around and the practicality of how I'm to achieve the task objective of a plan within the short given time space. I have thought about cast (friends) and where it is going to be filmed (Location) and will add them to my base plan along with shot angles and how I'm going to get there, the time limit for how long we are filming. etc...Missing images of the shot and where i am going to take them. going to add them in when its relevant. I have left the dialogue box empty as my video will not contain any speaking. I think its best just to have a trailer than have to also plan a script with recorded audio. However it...

Audio Recording Interview (Primary Research)

Audio Recording Interview Evaluation All Audio Recordings can be found on the sever Skinner in my folder Konrads Interview Konrads interview was particularly useful as he gave a variety of reasonable answers that where useful and relate able to what we was looking for. He particularly helped when it came to insight into what the audience looks for with the marketing towards a game. While also talking about the extra added benefits of games that are marketed as deluxe editions and collectors edition.  Ethan's Interview Ethan's interview was moderately useful a few of his answers where short and unexplained if I was doing the interview again I would ask Ethan to explain  his answers in more depth.  Lucy's Interview Lucy's interview was a failure I learned very little from the interview and the questions that I asked her wasted my time as the answers she gave were very vague and unexplained for most questions. I think this was because she...

Characters Wesley Wesley Percival Higgsbury Main protagonist   Wesley used to live in a rickety wooden house in the mountains, where he performed experiments all day. After a mixture of some sort exploded in a puff in his face, he sat down, agitated that things weren't working out for him. He didn't have too much time to do so, however, as he heard a mysterious voice coming from his radio. Regan offered Wesley secret and forbidden knowledge, and Wesley, willing and hungry for said knowledge, hastily agreed. This caused massive amounts of information to be inserted into his head. What Wesley didn't know was that almost all this information wasn't about anything scientific but was a portal to an unknown world where Grim Shadows takes place.  Regan Central Villain Later in 1906,  Regan British Gentleman was a magician Later that night, Regan went to perform his big final act, where in Regan would pull a shadow from the mysterious book. After ma...

Developement of company logo

Image
Company Logo     Why do I need a logo? Having a professional looking, well designed logo builds trust. Potential customers are more likely to do business with you if you have a well designed logo. If your logo looks like it was designed in Microsoft Word, people will question how well you are able to deliver your core business products. This is another key element that I have added to my Games Advertisement Campaign. What should a good logo contain? Making the text part of my logo super clear and readable While making a company logo many people think their brand is going to be the next Coca Cola or McDonalds, in reality when I was starting out with my logo, one of the most important characteristics is that the text of my company name is clear and easy to read at a distance, as it may appear on vehicle signage, building signage, posters or some other place where the logo is seen at a distance. My Lecturer Dave Davis told me in more depth about...

Image
16th March 2017 I think that today my research on the games Advertisement industry was successful i looked at different ways that games companies advertise there triple A titles through both social media and posters. Looking at specific trailers helps me to development of my final idea of how the game might look and how the advertisement through trailers and posters show off immersive environments and story lines through out the settings.

Evaluation of research and Exsprimentation

Image
Research current evaluation I've been currently looking at dia de los muertos which is a creative festival in Mexico that celebrates Day of the dead my current research into this art style and festival is going well while it also looks very similar to dark fantasy from my previous research... Colour is often associated with females in this art style while Males remain Black and white. I have started my experimentation ideas looking at how the females art develops into its final stages. Why my research has been effective Researching into different art styles is useful and effective because this will be the base for my game. For the theme of the game, it is important that my research is effective. This is so that I can successfully complete the visual art Style and manner of how I want my game to look. It is hard to assess my research at this point because it's with experimentation as well that I will be able to determine the final outcome of how useful my res...

Regulations What is PEGI? Age ratings are systems used to ensure that entertainment content, such as films, videos, DVDs, and computer games, are clearly labelled by age according to the content they contain. Age ratings provide guidance to consumers (particularly parents) to help them decide whether or not to buy a particular product.  Computer and video games are now enjoyed by millions of players throughout Europe. In the UK, 37 % of the population aged between 16 and 49 describe themselves as ‘active gamers’ (defined as currently playing games on a console, handheld or PC) . To qualify for the PEGI OK label a game can NOT contain any of the following elements: violence sexual activity or sexual innuendo nudity bad language gambling promotion or use of drugs promotion of alcohol or tobacco scary scenes Trailer + Poster Advertisement  Research Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZP1W6D6aZA The Witcher 3 Blood and...

Concept Art and Art styles Research

Image
Concept Art for Games Introduction Concept art uses specialist skills and knowledge within the digital and creative entertainment  industries. There are three main areas: Programming and software engineering; art, concept and asset production; and game design studies, practice and theory. In this project I hope to achieve at least two of these main areas using both media and Art skills and if not, then at least to explore them in more detail.   These concept art shows sketches of 3D modelling with diffraction in a characters Head piece and how they will look from different angles. This is showing the development of Art, concept and asset production. Practice and Theory is used in this image as they test to add characters into a games poster. This would link in with the development of media as they are using advertisement to a specific targeted audience.  Concept Art for Games often comes into enviroments as well d...

Second idea Movie Advertisement campaign

Image
Second Idea Movie Advertisement Campaign  Modern Film industry In the movie industry or motion picture industry it comprises the technological and commercial institutions of movie making, an example of these are movie production companies, movie studios, cinematography, animation, movie production, screenwriting, pre-production, post production, movie festivals, distribution; and actors as well as movie directors. All of these fit into the media and the promotional aspects of a Advertisement Campaign for a movie.  For my FMP I would try to attempt a section a movie's advertisement campaign. As inspiration for my idea I have recently looked at the recent movie hit Deadpool.
