Wesley

Wesley Percival Higgsbury Main protagonist
 
Wesley used to live in a rickety wooden house in the mountains, where he performed experiments all day. After a mixture of some sort exploded in a puff in his face, he sat down, agitated that things weren't working out for him. He didn't have too much time to do so, however, as he heard a mysterious voice coming from his radio. Regan offered Wesley secret and forbidden knowledge, and Wesley, willing and hungry for said knowledge, hastily agreed. This caused massive amounts of information to be inserted into his head. What Wesley didn't know was that almost all this information wasn't about anything scientific but was a portal to an unknown world where Grim Shadows takes place. 


Regan

Later in 1906,  Regan British Gentleman was a magician Later that night, Regan went to perform his big final act, where in Regan would pull a shadow from the mysterious book. After making the book appear out of nowhere in his hands, Regan reached inside a page, but instead of pulling a shadow out, something inside of the book was pulling him in.

 
 





Rose 

Damsel in distress
Rose is in a relationship with Wesley when her life takes a sudden dark turn as she is trapped by Regan.




Environment

Finished eviorment concpet the game will feature mainly cel shaded black and white style only adding very little minimalistic colour.

Grim Shadows is an uncompromising wilderness survival game full of science and magic. 
You play as Wesley, an intrepid Gentleman who has been trapped by a demon and transported to a mysterious wilderness world. Wesley must learn to exploit his environment and its inhabitants if he ever hopes to escape, save his soul mate and find his way back home.

16th March 2017 I think that today my research on the games Advertisement industry was successful i looked at different ways that games companies advertise there triple A titles through both social media and posters. Looking at specific trailers helps me to development of my final idea of how the game might look and how the advertisement through trailers and posters show off immersive environments and story lines through out the settings.
